Clare Derix
Senior Executive Lawyer – Australian Government Solicitor
Clare is a Senior Executive Lawyer within the Commercial practice of the Australian Government Solicitor. She has over 20 years’ experience advising on corporate governance and financing arrangements with a particular focus on loan arrangements, procurements, equity injections, grants, market-testing approaches, conflicts of interest and contract management issues. Clare was involved in establishing the National Housing Finance and Investment Corporation (NHFIC) and was appointed by the NHFIC Board (on a secondment basis) as its interim General Counsel and Board Secretary for the first 6 months of the entity’s operations. Clare has degrees in law and commerce with a diploma in project management.
